I'm Worried about my data, is it safe?
At IT Done Right, We will always take great care in looking after your data, any data we hold is held in strict confidence and for only as long as necessary. We understand how important personal data is. We always advise if possible, you take a backup of any data on your computer prior to any work being undertaken and we can discuss any backup options with you if needed.
I have bought a new computer, can you transfer the data from my old PC?
Yes, transferring data from your old PC is also possible - if the hard drive is working we can often copy everything over as it was before.
How long will my repair take?
We repair most faults within 1-3 days, If we need to order parts then we can normally get these in 1-2 days. We understand how difficult being without your computer can be and we will always try to get it back to you as quickly as possible.
How much will my repair cost me?
We will always offer you a fixed price for the repair, for example if your laptop screen needs replacing we will give you a total price for the replacement screen and fitting/testing before starting. We don’t want you to have any nasty surprises when it comes to the cost, we want you to know exactly what your repair will cost before we carry out any work.
Do you provide a warranty?
IT Done Right offers a warranty on our work/repairs. This warranty typically covers the specific repair performed and ensures that if the same issue arises again within a specified period of 30 days, we will address it at no additional cost. Make sure to ask about the warranty terms and conditions before availing the services.
What brands of computers/laptops do you deal with?
We can fix a range of brands bought into us such as Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Toshiba etc. The only ones we don't with at the moment is Apple but could change in the future, so keep checking back or contact us on 01268 982969 or send us a enquiry
What is a Virus?
A virus is a computer program that copies itself and infects a computer. It is spread via a network or the Internet, or carried via floppy disk, CD, DVD, external hard drive or USB drive. How do I know if I have a virus?
If your computer is running slowly, displaying popup ads or just acting strangely. Another way could be a scam call from someone pretending to be from Microsoft and they persuade you into them taking control of your computer/laptop and installing software onto your computer and then making out that you have some sort of virus and they want x amount of money to fix it but they keep the money and don't do anything. What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payments by credit/debit card, bank transfer or cash for repairs(labour). If parts are required, we can only accept bank transfer or cash as this ensures parts are ordered quicker and completing the repairs quicker.
