How it works
Our refurbishing process
All laptops come from a specialist refurbishment partner. When they arrive at IT Done Right, we give each one a visual once-over and power-on check before listing it for sale.

Initial inspection & grading
Casing, hinges, screen and ports are checked and the laptop is graded for cosmetic condition.

Cleaning & dust removal
Fans and vents are cleaned to help keep the machine cool and stable.

Secure data wipe
Any previous data is securely erased from the internal drive.

Hardware testing
Core parts - RAM, storage, keyboard, USB ports, Wi-Fi and battery health — are tested.

Parts replaced where needed
For example, upgrading to SSD storage for better speed and reliability.

Fresh Windows install
A clean install of Windows (usually Windows 11) with drivers and updates applied.

Final quality check
Powered on, checked again and prepared for dispatch.

Every unit passes a basic battery health check to ensure reasonable runtime for everyday use. Where available, we note approximate battery condition on the product page. If you are unsure, just ask.
Yes. Devices are clean-installed with a genuine, activated Windows build (usually Windows 11) so you can start using them straight away.
Orders are usually dispatched within two working days on a next working day delivery service via DPD or APC.
Yes. You are covered by our standard returns policy. If something is not right, get in touch and we will work out the best solution. Refurbished laptops can be returned within 30 days.
