Our refurbishing process
All of our refurbished laptops come from a specialist refurbishment partner. Their technicians follow a consistent process to give each machine a longer, reliable second life.
- Initial inspection & grading – casing, hinges, screen and ports are checked and the laptop is graded for cosmetic condition.
- Cleaning & dust removal – fans and vents are cleaned to help keep the machine cool and stable.
- Secure data wipe – any previous data is securely erased from the internal drive.
- Hardware testing – core parts such as RAM, storage, keyboard, USB ports, Wi-Fi and battery health are tested.
- Parts replaced where needed – for example upgrading to SSD storage for better speed and reliability.
- Fresh Windows install – a clean install of Windows (usually Windows 11) with drivers and updates applied.
- Final quality check – the laptop is powered on, checked again and prepared for dispatch.
